Owned and operated by Emily Andrews (33 yrs old) and Brittany Cavallero (25 yrs old) in the heart of St. Johns, it has quickly become a home for many neighbors. Emily and Brittany both remember loving to cook at a young age, dreaming of someday opening their own restaurant. Girasole specializes in authentic Italian Wood Fired Pizza. The menu also includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, soups, flatbread, desserts, espresso, beer & wine. The house-made list of ingredients perfectly outlines the unbelievable flavor you will find at Girasole. House-made pizza sauce, bar-b-q sauce, thai sauce, pizza dough, jalapeno artichoke dip, pesto, gluten free crust, vegetable stock, vanilla marshmallow/graham cracker/Ghirardelli chocolate smores, cinnamon rolls w/ cream cheese frosting and salad dressings are just the beginning. The wonderful smell and beautiful interior instantly make customers feel at home. The tables are recycled old doors with unique local artwork framed by glass. A seven mile drive from the city, east on hwy 30, a quick climb over the historic St. Johns Bridge and you will find Girasole Wood Fired Café nestled in downtown St. Johns on the corner of Lombard and Leavitt.
