Glenfair Features

East Portland neighborhoods like Glenfair are located within a wealth of shopping, dining, and other amenities. The neighborhood itself is too small to contain much within its borders, but surrounding areas are chock full of everything you need.

With both suburban and more urban environments nearby, it is easy to find the right home to fit your lifestyle.  Add to that an easy commute along one of the major streets such as Burnside, and this is a great Portland neighborhood.  Glenfair Park is a popular green space for family and community events.

Glenfair Businesses of Note

Although this neighborhood is much smaller than others, it still has a few gems to offer residents and visitors. Those who enjoy great food and an urban atmosphere will want to check out the places below. Best of all, because Glenfair doesn’t cover much territory, it’s easy to walk wherever you want to go. After you eat, be sure to walk it off by heading over to Glenfair Park.

Good Brothers Pizza

If you’re hankering for a slice of New-York style pie, then Good Brothers is an excellent choice. This no-frills establishment offers a decent selection of vegetarian and meat pizzas. Some of their signature dishes include the Nostima Greek Pie, complete with spinach leaves, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, and minced garlic. For meat lovers, you can buy the American Cheeseburger pizza, which comes with ground beef, bacon pieces, and cheddar cheese. Or there’s the Fiesta Pizza, which adds a South-of-the-Border flavor with jalapenos, taco seasonings, and Fiesta sauce.

Fortunately, if you want to expedite your pizza, you can order online. They don’t deliver though, so be aware that you will have to come on down to get a taste of the Good life. Also, the pizzeria is only open for dinner, just in case your cravings hit earlier in the day.

Food Cart Heaven

For the last 10 years or so, Portland has become a hotspot for food carts. Culinary masters who don’t want the overhead of a restaurant can pop open a cart and serve to the masses. To make it easier for both diners and restauranteurs, there are many food cart hubs throughout the city. Fortunately, Glenfair residents don’t even have to leave the neighborhood to get their fix. They simply have to walk down to Food Cart Heaven on Glisan St.

This “pod” is relatively recent, but it has quite the selection. You can find a wide array of flavors and options here, including Thai, Mexican, American, and Hawaiian. Best of all, Food Cart Heaven is accommodating to the crowd with covered restrooms and eating areas. If you’re a food cart aficionado, you know that the best thing to do is order from a few of your favorite places and then sit down with a diverse culinary feast. Food Cart Heaven is also better with friends, so bring your squad down for some good eats.
